When you read biographies or histories,
omitting faults and whitewashing is a common practice.
This is not what you find in the Bible.
When you read it, you find that even the most revered of men are portrayed with their faults.
Examples:
-King David's adultery.
-Peter denying Christ.
-Moses murdering a man.
-Strife between Paul and Barnabas.
-The disciples disbelief concerning the resurrection.
The Bible was written by the Jews, yet it describes their many faults in detail. From stubbornness to unbelief, from rebellion to idolatry, to rejecting the Messiah.
Written as our guide, the Bible openly reveals and knows the heart of man...
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Proverbs 21:2
